Product Overview

Glutathione (GSH, γ-L-glutamyl-L-cysteinylglycine) is the most abundant endogenous antioxidant tripeptide in human cells, present at millimolar concentrations in virtually all cell types. It is synthesized intracellularly from glutamate, cysteine, and glycine via glutamate-cysteine ligase (GCL) and glutathione synthetase. GSH plays essential roles in direct free radical scavenging, regeneration of vitamins C and E, xenobiotic detoxification, protein disulfide bond formation, and regulation of the cellular redox state. Glutathione levels decline significantly with aging, chronic disease, and oxidative stress, and this depletion is mechanistically linked to accelerated cellular aging, immune dysfunction, and mitochondrial pathology. The 200mg intravenous/injectable format represents the clinical research standard for rapid GSH delivery and systemic bioavailability.

Reduced GSH is sensitive to oxidation. Their product appears to be in proper reduced form on Ellman's assay but I'd recommend storing at -20C immediately on receipt and using nitrogen overlay if you reconstitute partial volumes. This is a peptide-quality issue not a 22EXO issue.
